Water Based Wall Sealer

Seamaster Acryseal Water Based Wall Sealer is water based acrylic primer sealer specially formulated to provide excellent alkaline resistance. It is use as a primer coat for new and old building. As a primer it forms an excellent barrier coat against alkalinity especially for new walls and gives a good surface for the painting of subsequent coat.

Uses:
As a primer for new and old building surface e.g. brickwork, plaster, cement, asbestos, etc.

Application Method
Method of Application :
Brush and roller.		  
Product Preparation :

Ready for use after thoroughly stirring. However, if thinning is required, not more than 10% of water may be added.

Surface Preparation
New Mansory Surface :

It is crucial that ample time is allowed for the concrete / plaster surfaces to dry out. High moisture content is a common cause for premature paint failures, such as blistering, discolouration, etc. Concrete / plaster are alkaline in nature and together with the presence of salts and moisture may cause paint systems to fail prematurely. Masonry surfaces must be reasonable dry and free from oil / grease and other contaminants before Seamaster Arcyseal Wall Sealer is applied.

Old Unpainted Masonry Surface :
Surface must be dry and free from any structural damages and cracks. Wash the surface to remove any vegetable growths, stains, debris and powderiness by high-pressure water jet. Fungicidal wash should be use as a wash and left for 48 hours before final rinse with clean water. This will ensure most algae spores are killed. Allow to dry before painting.

Previously Painted Surface :
For poor paintwork which is powdery, chalky, and poor in adhesion, it is crucial to remove the old paint work by scraping or by brushing with a stiff bristle brush before the full painting system is applied.
